Academy students to decorate school hoarding
Pupils at Five Islands Academy are to decorate the new fencing at the site of the old secondary school.
Students have been tasked with creating a porthole design that reflects their vision of Scilly, according to the Academy newsletter.
The designs will be displayed on the boards surrounding the site, which were replaced at the end of April.
After visiting Town Beach for inspiration, Year 7-9 pupils drew their ideas by hand and also "explored the use of their iPads to create digital versions".
The Academy described the task, which will be launched as a whole school project, as a “fantastic opportunity for us as a school to showcase the amazing talent that we have here”.
