Anyone wishing to vote needs to be on the electoral register. New applications must reach the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) by midnight tomorrow.
Applications can be submitted online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote, sent by email to elections@scilly.gov.uk, posted to the ERO at the Town Hall, or placed in the internal post box in the Town Hall by 5pm. Copies of the application form may be found on the Government website or at St Mary’s Library and the Carn Gwaval Wellbeing Centre.
Applications for new postal votes or for amendments to existing postal and proxy votes must reach the ERO by 5pm on Wednesday (May 8th), while applications to vote by proxy must reach the ERO by 5pm on May 15th.
As well as being registered to vote, EU citizens wishing to participate in the European Parliamentary election on Scilly need to complete a declaration form stating that they will use their right to vote at the EU election only in the UK and not in their home country.
