Islanders and visitors are invited to join children from Five Islands Academy for the annual celebration of May Day this afternoon.
Staff and pupils have been working hard on the traditional songs and dances for the ancient spring festival.
The ceremony will feature maypole dancing and the crowning of this year's May Queen Daisy Stevens.
The islands' schoolchildren have been participating in the May Day tradition since around 1875, only lapsing for the two world wars.
After the hour-long ceremony the pupils will enjoy May Day tea in the Church Halls.
The event starts at Parade Park on St Mary's at 2pm.
