A by-election for a new St Mary's Councillor has been scheduled for the end of May to coincide with European elections.
The new vote follows the recent departure of Ted Moulson after five years with the Council.
The by-election, which was called by Avril and Clive Mumford, will take place on May 23rd at the same time as elections to the European Parliament.
The Government has scheduled European elections but they will automatically be cancelled if the UK has left the EU by then.
The Council of the Isles of Scilly is elected every four years, with the next election due in May 2021.
Anyone wishing to stand for election as a Councillor can find out more at the Council's website.
