The Cornwall Tourism Awards 2019/20 are now open for entries.
Businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly have until April 30th to enter the awards, with finalists invited to a ceremony at Truro Cathedral on November 7th.
Deborah Heather of new headline sponsor Quality in Tourism said: “The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly ethos has long since been to embrace competition, focus on continuous improvement, with businesses striving to operate at the best levels they can be.
"If you are undecided, my advice would be go for it, this might be the year to win, and if it’s not you could still be inspired with what you achieve and learn in the process. Good luck to you all.”
This year’s awards feature new shorter entry forms and a new online entry process, including practice forms so people can draft their answers.
Businesses entering by March 29th are guaranteed a judging visit if they are in a category where visits are carried out.
The Isles of Scilly scooped three prizes at last year's Cornwall Tourism Awards. The Tourist Information Centre team won a silver in the Visitor Information Service of the Year category, Hell Bay Hotel won silver in the Small Hotels category and Karma St Martin's won bronze for Dog Friendly Business of the Year.
Successful businesses in the Cornwall Awards will be fast tracked into the South West Excellence Awards on February 6th 2020.
