Islanders invited to meetings on water changes
Islanders are invited to a series of public meetings next week to find out more about upcoming changes in water and sewerage provision on the Isles of Scilly.

There will be a presentation on each island followed by a drop-in, with representatives in attendance from the Council, South West Water, Tresco Estate, Duchy of Cornwall, Ofwat, Consumer Council for Water, Drinking Water Inspectorate and Environment Agency.
The Isles of Scilly Council said in a statement: "The proposed changes include a new supplier for the islands as well as the introduction of legislation that will affect how water supplies and sewage discharge are regulated.
"The changes are expected to provide substantial benefits in terms of additional capacity, environmental protection and public health."
The dates of the meetings are as follows:
Tuesday January 15th Tresco community centre
Presentation 10am to 11am. Drop-in 11am to 12 noon
Tuesday January 15th Bryher community centre
Presentation 1pm to 2pm . Drop-in 2pm to 3pm
Wednesday January 16th St Agnes - Island Hall
Presentation 10am to 11am. Drop-in 11am to 12 noon
Wednesday January 16th St Martins - Island Hall
Presentation 1pm to 2pm. Drop-in 2pm to 3pm
Thursday January 17th St Mary's - Wesleyan Chapel
Presentation 10am to 11am. Drop-in 11am to 12 noon
Thursday January 17th St Mary's - Wesleyan Chapel
Presentation 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Drop-in 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
