Entries are now being accepted for the next round of funding, with the closing date set for February 28th.
Launched in 2016, the Community Fund has so far awarded £30,000 to 31 different projects ranging from a set of new mats for the Isles of Scilly Judo Club to a life-saving defibrillator for the Ronnie Richards Memorial Charity in Penzance.
A project to preserve irreplaceable historical data about pilot gig rowing recently received its biggest ever donation.
Bids to the Community Fund are open to voluntary groups or charities, schools and education establishments, community clubs or societies, and individuals undertaking not-for-profit projects for the benefit of the wider community.
Full details, eligibility criteria and application forms are available from the ISSG website. All projects are judged by members of an independent panel.
