Isles of Scilly Police yesterday cautioned a 22-year-old man from St Mary's following break-ins at the Co-op and Radio Scilly at the weekend.
The Policing team previously arrested five people, with four subsequently released with no further action.
Alcohol was stolen from the Co-op in the early hours of Saturday morning (December 8th).
The same person then entered the Radio Scilly office and studio, breaking the door lock and vomiting on the floor.
Sergeant Darren White from the Isles of Scilly Police said: “On Monday 10th December 2018 a 22-year-old St Mary's male received a formal Police caution in relation to the offences committed at Co-op stores and Radio Scilly in the early hours of Saturday 8th December 2018.
"The four other individuals arrested in connection with the offences have been released with no further police action. Both of these mindless acts were committed by a single individual whilst heavily under the influence of alcohol.
"I do not accept this as an excuse. What likely started as an act of joviality has now rightly resulted in a criminal caution for the individual which will no doubt have a significant impact on his employment future. There is no place for behaviour of this sort in our community and the IOS Policing team are committed to bringing those responsible to swift justice.”
