The Isles of Scilly is the best place in the UK to be a single woman over 50, according to new research.
Men apparently outnumber women by 40% on Scilly, with 140 single men per 100 single women.
The figures were compiled by dating app Lumen from population and relationship data across England and Wales.
The City of London came second, with 133 single men per 100 single women, followed by Copeland in rural Cumbria. The City also took the top spot for finding love under 50.
The research found that women are more likely to find love in the north, where they are outnumbered by single men, while the worst place is Harrow in north London.
For men, areas in West Sussex, East Sussex and East Devon are the best bet for meeting the one.
The research also revealed a surge in the number of singles in their 50s and 60s, up by 53% since 2012.
Tresco finished fifth in a list of the UK’s 20 most romantic places compiled by romance publisher Mills & Boon earlier this month.
