Registration for next year's Isles of Scilly ÖTILLÖ Swimrun is now open.
The event takes place over the weekend of June 9th and 10th 2019, with a World Championships Qualifying race and Sprint, as well as a new Experience race for those completely new to the sport or not ready to compete over bigger distances.
Next year will also see the return of JÖTILLÖ, the junior version of the event organised by islander Wez Swain.
In June 2018, 124 pairs competed in the World Championships Qualifying race, swimming a total of 8km and running 29.5km each. A record number of local teams also took part in the ÖTILLÖ events over the weekend.
The early bird entry fee (until November 25th) for the main World Championships race is €385 per team. The normal fee (until May 5th 2019) is €420 and the late fee (until June 4th) is €480.
ÖTILLÖ Sprint Isles of Scilly is €150 for a team and €80 solo. The early bird fee is €130/€70 and late entry fee €175/€90.
The Experience race has a course of 7.8km and three swims, of which the longest is 400 metres. The cost is €80 for a team and €50 solo, with an early bird fee of €70/€45 and late entry fee €90/€55.
The organisers of the islands' Swimrun donate a portion of every competitor's entry fee to the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust.
