Forward bookings for the Isles of Scilly for next year are "phenomenally strong", according to the Islands' Partnership.
The IP's Executive Director David Jackson told Radio Scilly that the organisation is "certainly optimistic" about a good 2019.
He said: "If there’s one thing we’ve heard from literally every business we’ve spoken to over the last few months it's that forward bookings for next year are phenomenally strong.
"You can argue that that’s down to the fact that the timetables and fares have been on sale much earlier this year which means people are booking now, whereas they would normally have booked perhaps in the early part of the new year. Let’s hope that those bookings hold up in the new year as we would expect them to.
"But certainly people have been saying that they’ve got as much business on the books for 2019 in September/October as they would probably expect to have in February so that’s a really positive message for us to hear. We’re certainly optimistic about a good 2019."
