Scilly artist chosen for major wildlife art exhibition
An islands artist has said she is "so delighted" after her work was selected from over 600 submissions to appear alongside some of Britain’s leading wildlife artists.
'Kep Petrel Party' by printmaker Vickie Heaney from Phoenix Craft Workshops will be part of the Natural Eye 2018 exhibition, which will show at the Mall Galleries in London between October 25th and November 4th.
The annual exhibition, led by the Society of Wildlife Artists, has come to be recognised as the most prestigious and varied exhibition of wildlife art in the UK. Work covers a range of subject matter all inspired by the natural world.
Vickie said: "I’m so delighted that one of my prints has been chosen for inclusion in the exhibition. It’s a real privilege and very exciting for me that my work will be displayed alongside that of some of my art heroes!"
