Couple exchange vows for third time on Scilly

A couple from the Isle of Wight have exchanged vows on Scilly for the third time.

Steve Squires and Liz Mcgregor met on a dating website and married at the register office on Porthcressa in 2016.

When they returned to the islands on holiday the following year, they decided to renew their vows, even though they had only been married for a few months.

Informed by the registrar that they would be setting a record if they did it again, the couple decided to go for it in 2018.

They have now said "I do" three times in two years and will be back to do it again next year.

Liz said the pair have yet to get through a ceremony without crying.

The couple had a special guest with them this time around - their Welsh Terrier Skipper. They were surprised to discover that Skipper is related to Pippin, a Welsh Terrier from St Martin's.

Registration staff Lesley, Angie and Elaine were involved in the planning and delivery of the ceremony.
