The Isles of Scilly is to have a pantomime this winter.
St Mary's Theatre Club, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, has had to scrap its annual winter production for the last three years as the Town Hall stage has been out of use.
However, chair Linda Thomas said it has decided to go ahead with a panto in the new year, whether or not the stage is operational.
"Theatre Club is actually doing a pantomime next year - oh no we're not, oh yes we are! It's going to be Mother Goose and it was written by John Hicks many, many years ago. John has given us permission to use his panto and to edit and to perform it."
The pantomime will be produced by Linda and directed by Jon Mackenzie.
Auditions will take place at 2pm in the Church Hall on Sunday October 14th, with performances provisionally scheduled for the weekend of February 8th, 9th and 10th 2019 and a dress rehearsal for February 3rd.
Linda added: "If you're going to be around and fancy giving it a go, come along!"
The minimum age for children to take part in the pantomime is 10.
