Mal de Mers return to Scilly for 86th visit

The Mal de Mers return are back on the Isles of Scilly tomorrow for their annual sports competition against the islands.

Some 31 members of the mainland club will descend on Tregarthen's Hotel on St Mary's for their 86th visit.

They will play islands' teams at 23 different sports or games across six days.

The Mals won the 2017 competition against the Isles of Scilly by 11-10. Scilly won in 2016 and 2015 resulted in a draw.

The Club came by its name, French for 'Seasickness', after a choppy first journey on the Scillonian.
