August airport numbers 'second worst on record'
The Isles of Scilly's airport passenger numbers last month were the second lowest ever recorded for August.
However, there was weather-related disruption during the month, including no-fly days on two Saturdays.
There were 13,419 passenger journeys in total divided between the Islander, Twin Otter and AW169 helicopter.
The worst August on record was 2015, when there were approximately 14 no-fly days.
In more positive news, numbers overall since January are up 3,924 on last year and the second highest since BIH ceased operations in 2012.
