Penzance Heliport has said it looks forward to working with the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group.
The comment follows the Steamship Group's statement earlier today that it accepts the decision by Cornwall Council to approve plans for a new heliport in Penzance and will not launch any further challenge.
The ISSG "reiterated its commitment to working with all parties" to ensure a robust and sustainable transport system for the Isles of Scilly.
A Penzance Heliport spokesman has now said in response: "We are pleased the Steamship Company has publicly accepted Cornwall’s Council’s second unanimous decision in support of Penzance Heliport.
“Our aim has always been to improve the resilience, capacity and sustainability of transport to the Isles of Scilly for the benefit of islanders and visitors.
"We have long called for cooperation for the good of the islands and now look forward to working with the Steamship Company and other key stakeholders to achieve these aims."
