New Scilly transport group to hold inaugural meeting
A new group has been established called the Isles of Scilly Transport Development Group CIC.
With a board of directors consisting of islanders and mainlanders - including three Scilly Councillors - the group has issued invitations to a meeting about its future plans next Saturday, ahead of a public launch.
The invitation reads: "We will be discussing the transport crisis in the Isles of Scilly, the funding opportunity that we have secured to address this and the ways in which key members of the community can help to take this to the next stage. We will be looking for volunteers to join working groups."
The Community Interest Company is chaired by Peter Huxley, with directors Marian and Tony Berkeley, Robert Francis, Ted Moulson, Tim Guthrie and Melissa Hartwell.
