Theatre Club summer play starts tomorrow
St Mary’s Theatre Club's latest summer production opens this week.
The first performance is tomorrow (Thursday July 5th) at the Church Hall, with others on subsequent Thursdays at either the Town Hall or Church Hall.
The production comprises three professional One Act Plays.
Rude Awakenings by Nicolas Ridley is described as a “charming comedy which mixes both broad and subtle humour with insights into the pain and pathos that can sometimes lie beneath the surface of village life”.

Shop for Charity by Charles Mander is set in a charity shop and asks whether such shops are there to help the developing world or just a sop to the consciences of the middle-class people who run them.

Alternative Accommodation by Pam Valentine is about a widowed woman whose middle-aged children decide that the family property should be sold and that she should move to a residential home or into sheltered housing.

The cast features Becky Hicks, Maggie Dean, Tim Dean, Gail Sibley, Linda Thomas, Jenni Burrrows, Sue Hodgson, Scott Fuller and Anna Bryher.
