Scilly's Dog Show makes welcome return
The Isles of Scilly Dog Show returned on Saturday (June 9th) in glorious sunshine.
The event, organised by the Isles of Scilly Veterinary Support Group, was postponed twice and finally cancelled last year due to adverse weather.
The annual Show in Old Town featured ten categories including Waggiest Tail and Dog Most Like Its Owner.
Canon Perran Gay and his wife Rainy had the difficult task of judging the four-legged entrants, while John Hutchins made an impressive debut as compere. St Mary's WI was in charge of the cake stall.
Best In Show was won by Stanley, a 3-year-old rescue Kokoni Spaniel owned by Beth Hilton and Steve Sims from St Mary's (pictured above with the judges).
The Dog Show raises valuable funds for the Veterinary Support Group's work on the islands, allowing them to buy and maintain equipment as needed.
