ISSG responds to helicopter suspension
The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group has responded after the Council announced that it is suspending the new Island Helicopters service.

The ISSG said that it is still hoping to launch the new service, to run between St Mary's and Land's End, on Monday (May 21st) as scheduled.
A spokesman said: “We do not share the Council’s view and despite the very disappointing late notice, we are gathering information to assist the Council in their decision making process to enable us to fly on Monday.
"We will issue a further statement in due course.”
The Council of the Isles of Scilly earlier released a statement saying it had suspended the Island Helicopters operation in order to "responsibly deal with the requirements of and to ensure compliance with the Conservation of Species and Habitats Regulations 2017".
