A St Agnes resident has been nominated for a Young Business Person of the Year award.
Aiden Hicks from Westward Farm is up against two other nominees at the 13th annual Cornwall Business Awards.
Westward Farm last year started producing and selling its own gin. It also has holiday lets, makes apple juice and cider, and produces a range of products from soaps to beef under its '28 Miles' label.
The winners of the Cornwall Business Awards will be announced at a ceremony on April 19th at St Mellion International Resort.
The Cornwall Business Awards, organised by Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Growth and Skills Hub and presented by Cornwall Development Company, are a "celebration of innovation, achievement and entrepreneurial spirit within the Cornish business community".
Growth and Skills Hub Operations Director Stu Anderson said: “It may sound cliché but the judging has been extremely tough, we have been blown away by the quality of entries.

“Our expert panel of over 30 judges have reviewed, deliberated and scored the entries and as a result of this rigorous process the awards really mean something – they are a true mark of excellence. Whether businesses take home the gong or not, they can pride themselves on being among the best businesses in Cornwall.”
Aiden recently warned islanders about an email scam that cost him the price of a three-week accommodation booking.
