Staff at St Mary's Health Centre raised nearly £900 from last weekend's medical-themed quiz and prize draw.
The event at the Atlantic Inn was the latest in the Health Centre's efforts to raise money for a skydive in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance and the Isles of Scilly Medical Launch in April.
Carol Young said of the quiz, hosted by Dr Chris Picken (right): "We took nearly £900 in prize draw tickets and more than ten teams played the quiz! We had lots of good feedback from the night. We're are also selling cakes and books at the health centre between now and the jump."
Carol will complete the jump on April 22nd along with husband Nigel, Michelle Moorton, Dr John Garman, Dr James Ross, and Fran and Dale Clark.
The staff's fundraising page reads: "A group of us at St Mary's Health Centre came up with the bonkers idea of throwing ourselves out of an aeroplane to raise money for two very deserving charities, Cornwall Air Ambulance and The Isles of Scilly Medical Launch.
"Due to the unique geographical nature of these islands we depend heavily on both these charities. We are self funding the jump to ensure all monies raised will be shared between the two causes."
Health Centre staff previously raised money for their skydive through a Christmas jumper day and mince pie sale, as well as a jumble sale in February.
