Children from Tresco and Bryher School are preparing for a sponsored bike ride next week to raise money for assistance dogs.
The 18 pupils, aged between 4 and 10, will "cycle a challenging route around Tresco over green banks and through dirt tracks" on March 20th.
The Pedals for Paws bike ride is in aid of Canine Partners for Independence, which transforms the lives of people with physical disabilities by partnering them with assistance dogs.
A post on the schools' fundraising page reads: "As a school we are very passionate about dogs and have been watching videos and researching this charity and think it's amazing what these dogs can do for their owners."
The pupils have been raising money for Canine Partners since February. Other activities have included a cake sale, baking home-made dog treats and making dogs from local shells.
