Co-op applies to change external signs
The Co-op on St Mary's has applied for planning permission to change its external signage.

The Hugh Town Store has requested four separate signs, two of which are illuminated.
An approximation of the new signage is included in the application and pictured below:
The application is for advertisement consent for one externally illuminated projector, one externally illuminated logo, one non-illuminated wall mounted aluminium panel and one set of non-illuminated acrylic letters.
If the plans go ahead, the main sign - which currently consists of the words 'The Co-operative food' - will read 'Welcome to Isles of Scilly's Co-op'.
It was recently revealed that the Co-op's Christmas raffle, organised by Martin Dillon, raised £1,000 for Cornwall Air Ambulance and £100 for cancer research.
Two local groups were awarded a total of more than £10,400 from the Co-op's Community Fund last month.
