Islander launches online cycling store

A former St Agnes resident has launched a new online store which aims to bring together the "best worldwide cycling styles".

Julian Pearce, who grew up on St Agnes and whose parents still live there, has debuted Spin Shed with his partner Katie.

The site aims to showcase the best independent, stylish and unique brands from around the world.

Julian, who moved to Leeds for university after Truro College, said: “One of my earliest memories is riding to St Agnes primary school on my old BMX, and I crashed just outside the old phone box. I’m still riding, and crashing, bikes, but probably with a bit more speed these days!

"Yorkshire is a real cycling hotbed, with the Tour de France even making an appearance a few years back. I’ve always thought that two-wheels are the best way to get around the islands, and I know there are some really talented athletes over there too."

He added: "Bringing together a mix of cycling clothing, luggage, gifts and art, the site launches with 12 brands, with the promise of new partners to be added on a regular basis. Spin Shed has been created to give customers a real alternative to the relatively low number of well-known brands sold by the major retailers.

"The site has an extensive range of male, female and unisex styles, and due to its innovative business model, allows brands to showcase their entire range, rather than a select few items."

New customers to the site receive 10% off their first order. Check out Spin Shed at
