Steamship Group postpones Listening Events
The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group has announced that it is postponing its planned Listening Events on the islands due to the weather forecast.

The company had scheduled events on St Martins, Bryher, St Agnes and St Mary's on Tuesday and Wednesday for islanders to "meet the senior management team, air their views and hear more about the company’s plans for the future".
However, the Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Scilly tomorrow (Monday), while St Mary's RNLI has advised of "powerful waves" around the islands.
The ISSG said in a statement: "The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group is reluctantly having to postpone its planned Listening Events on the Isles of Scilly, following weather warning of strong winds expecting to reach 70mph affecting the region due to ex-hurricane Ophelia.
"The severe weather conditions forecast for next week are expected to restrict inter-island boating on Scilly, as well as having a potential impact on travel from the mainland to the islands.
"The company aims to reschedule these events for the earliest opportunity in November, with new dates to be announced soon."
