Councillors were forced to improvise this morning when no-one opened the Wesleyan Chapel for their drop-in session.
The surgery, between 9am and 11am, ended up being held in Margaret Davis's car.
Cllrs Robert Francis, Fran Grottick and Adrian Davis sat in the vehicle, belonging to Cllr Davis's wife, which was parked outside the Chapel.
Cllr Avril Mumford and Steve Sims also turned up briefly but did not squeeze into the car.
Cllr Sims said: "I ended up going home as I didn't want to take up the only seat available for constituents."
One amused Councillor said: "You couldn't make it up."
Drop-in sessions are held on the first Saturday and last Tuesday of each month.
