Tresco, Bryher pupils raise money for Medical Launch
Children from Tresco and Bryher School are raising money for the Isles of Scilly Medical Launch.
Later this month, pupils will take part in a sponsored walk around St Martins to raise funds for the vital islands service, which is now entering its 26th year.
The launch is used for medical requirements such as taking doctors to off-islands for both routine surgeries and in emergencies, routine visits by the district nurse, health visitor, midwives and patient transport.
Donors left messages of support on the cause's JustGiving page. One wrote: “A critical service which I hope we never need when visiting, but happy to help support!” Another said: “The hospital in St Mary’s did a great job for me this summer.”
