Scilly events raise hundreds for charity
Monday's Open Gardens event raised a whopping £866 for Cancer Research UK.
Six gardens were available to visit during the day, two of which were new this year.
The annual event, organised by the IOS Inner Wheel, invites participants to visit gardens belonging to members of the community. Refreshments were also provided at the Church Pavillion.
Elsewhere, Wednesday's sunset Ghost Cruise and raffle, led by George Tiedeman, Todd Stevens and Barbara Simpson, raised £671 for Children's Hospice South West.
There will be another chance to raise cash for Cancer Research UK on St Mary's on Sunday July 23rd with the Race for Life 5k/10k. Details are available from Sheila Thomas at Auriga.
There is also a summer fete at the Hospital in aid of St Mary's League of Hospital and Community Friends on July 20th.
