Cricket star Darren Gough to stay on St Martins
Former England cricketer Darren Gough is to stay at Karma St Martins next month.
Darren, who won the third series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2005, is to visit the islands with his family and three dogs in the first week of June.
Karma's Vice president Chris Diplock said: "Darren will enjoy the fruits of St Martins and have a relaxing break and in return host an evening regaling you all with interesting anecdotes from his long and distinguished career with Yorkshire and England."
Explaining how the visit came about, Chris said he is a friend of ex-England cricketer Ronnie Irani, who is a 'Karma Ambassador'.
He said: "This means Ronnie visits our resorts around the world, we get the marketing opportunities by telling people he is our friend and he gets a free holiday for him and his family.
"Ronnie was extremely impressed with Karma St Martins during his recent stay, so much so that he suggested his friend Darren Gough come to St Martins along with his family including three dogs."
He added: "I dare say if asked, he will be happy to pop down to St Martins CC and impart some of his knowledge of cricket with the players."
Fans are invited to submit questions through the St Martins Cricket Club Facebook page, with the best three selected by Club Treasurer Jackie Perkins to be put to Darren on video.
