Senior Council Officer leaving for Tresco Estate
Diana Mompoloki is leaving the Council of the Isles of Scilly to take on the role of Tresco Estate Director.
Diana, who is the Council's Senior Manager for Strategic Development, will depart the Authority at the beginning of August to start her new job.
She said of her new role: "I am looking forward to this new and challenging role, working with an excellent team and further developing all that Tresco has to offer its visitors and residents."
Tresco owner Robert Dorrien-Smith said: “I am delighted that Diana can bring her wide range of skills and experience to the position of Tresco Estate Director.
“This appointment strengthens our management team on Tresco and Diana will assist me in projects both on and off the island.
“We look forward to welcoming Diana and her son Kagiso to the island.”
Diana has worked for the Council since 2009, overseeing major projects such as the Porthcressa regeneration, resurfacing of roads, new school, new airport terminal and hard runways. She is also currently Head of Finance on the islands.
Council CEO Theo Leisjer said of her new appointment: "I am delighted that Diana's capabilities remain on Scilly."
Current Vice-Chair Steve Sims said: "Diana has been a real asset to the Authority in the years she's been here. She's done a fantastic job and it will be very hard to find the three people we need to replace her."
