Speros beach cafe on St Mary's is changing hands.
Current proprietors Richard and Amelia Mills said they are leaving after five years at the helm to focus on their children and other businesses.
They posted on Facebook: "It is with mixed emotions but we are happy to confirm the rumours that we will be handing over the helm of Speros.
"We will be concentrating our time and efforts on our two little angels (while they are still little) and our other business The Sailing Centre and Endeavour Rib Services. So we are not going far and will still be ever present on Porthmellon (just the other side of the bar hopefully), so please come and say Hi!"
The cafe will be owned by Clifford Freeman, proprietor of St Mary's Hall Hotel and Scilly Self Catering.
He has confirmed that he is in the "latter stages of negotiations" to take over the running of Speros, saying: "I hope to complete the formalities in the next few days and I am very excited at/by the prospect of taking on one of the best located facilities anywhere on the islands and carrying on the fantastic work of Richard and Amelia Mills."
The café opened for the season at 3pm today.
The Mills' Facebook post added: "We wish [Clifford] all the best for the future, he already has a great team in place, many of Speros previous staff, and they will do an amazing job with lots of exciting new plans.
"We would like to say a huge thank you to all our loyal customers and above all our family and friends and the fantastic team that have worked with us and supported us over the years. You are all without doubt and always will be 'Speros Heroes'.
"Thank you and goodbye! We are off to the beach!"
