Public meetings will discuss "meaty" subjects

Isles of Scilly Council chairman Robert Francis has urged islanders to attend the Autumn round of public meetings later this month.

He said there will be "meaty subject matter" and locals' input is very important.

Cllr Francis wrote in the upcoming issue of Scilly Now & Then magazine: "Your views at this time of trying to balance our Budget for the year 2019/2020 could be instrumental in what we decide to set. Also Housing, Transport, Public Realm and many other significant issues would benefit from your involvement.

"Your continuous input helps us enormously as Councillors in making our decisions for our community."

The Public meetings are scheduled as follows:

BRYHER 1pm to 2pm Monday 19 November 2018 Community Centre

TRESCO 3pm to 4pm Monday 19 November 2018 Community Centre

ST MARY'S 5:30pm to 7pm Tuesday 20 November 2018 Wesleyan Chapel
