Summer Raffle raises £2,600 for CHSW

The Children’s Hospice South West Grand Summer Raffle has raised £2,610.

The draw took place today at the charity's Coffee Morning at Tregarthen's Hotel.

The first prize of a seven-night stay at Karma St Martins was won by Sue Badcock of St Mary’s.

Helen Glenn, who heads CHSW's fundraising initiatives on Scilly, said they are looking at raising £8,600 this year.

She said: "We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated prizes, sold tickets and of course purchased tickets for this very worthwhile charity.

"We’re really pleased with what we've raised this year and can’t thank people enough for their constant support, it’s really appreciated."

She also thanked Tregarthen's for hosting the Coffee Morning, which raised an additional £100.

CHSW provides hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West. They operate three hospices; Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour which is near St Austell in Cornwall.
