Home Hardware raises cash with Royal Wedding raffle
Islands Home Hardware in Hugh Town has raised £149 for charity with its Royal Wedding raffle.
Staff decided to celebrate the big day by asking for donations to one of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's chosen charities. The royal couple have requested that well-wishers donate to one of seven causes rather than sending them presents.
Home Hardware staff also dressed up for the royal nuptials, donning their posh wedding outfits and fascinators for the day.
Customers were asked to make a donation in order to enter the raffle, with no purchase from the shop necessary.
The winning ticket was drawn by 3-year-old Erin Wallace.
Winner Diane Ellender from St Mary's was said to be "thrilled to bits" with her prize of a special Becky Lock cake and bottle of Prosecco.
