Bryher Fete raises more than £11,700

Bryher Fete and Music Festival earlier this month raised more than £11,700 for the community centre and other island projects.

The event was a big success, with an estimated 2,000 people attending over the course of the day.

Hillside Farm owners Graham and Ruth Eggins posted on social media: "The figures have been added up (and there were a lot of them!) and the final amount raised at this year's Bryher fete and music festival is an incredible £11,733!!!

"This is a fantastic amount and helps us to keep our wonderful community centre in tip top order and open, as well as other projects around our island. Thank you to all who came."
