An 11-year-old Scillonian girl will attempt a sponsored row between Samson and St Mary's this weekend in aid of The Maiden Factor. Hallie Shave was inspired to raise money after a team from The Maiden Factor Foundation visited Five Islands School in July to talk about the cause, which supports girls' education. The not-for-profit organisation was founded by Tracy Edwards MBE, who skippered the iconic yacht Maiden and her all-female crew to second in their class in the 1989-90
